I've bought fresh lobster from PJ Lobster House (one of Lancet's suggestions) and it has always been good. They also offer a steamed dinner of lobster, clams, and corn.

By all means, though, my favorite place is Red's in Wiscasset, ME. I'm heading up there in September -- can't wait!
Young's Lobster Pound in Belfast is my favorite.. pick your lobster, sit on a picnic table and eat away.... Its not about the ambiance, its about the food.

Default H20

I highly recommend H20 in Smithtown for any seafood. Best cooked salmon I've ever had. I haven't tried their lobster, but I've also never had anything on their menu I didn't like. Warning, it can be as pricey as a good steak restaurant.

I always like the Palm for lobster... there's one in East Hampton. I don't think it's as good as the one's in the city, but it's in Suffolk.

I had been to Sarah's once. Didn't have the haddock chowder, but now have something else to look forward to in September! Woot!
