All i can say is that I am a product of the Great Neck schooling system and I must say when it's time to start my family I will be heading back.

Section of New Hyde Park that goes to Great Neck South High School is dominated by houses in the Lakeville Estates section of New Hyde Park.
1. Demographics - mostly asians
2. Schools - Great Neck South
3. Taxes - about $12,000/yr
4. House Size - Lots are between 50x100 to 60x100
5. Religion - most people living in that section of New Hyde Park are asians
6. Houses in Lake Success are also zoned for Great Neck South if your housing budget is higher

I just wanted to add that the main reason we are looking into this area is because of the school district and it's proximity to NYC, where I work.

The fact that it may be a diverse area for me is a plus.
