The other thing I can suggest is the Allegria rooftop in Long Beach. It is free but the pool is soooo tiny and it's only 4ft the whole length... I like it though bc there's no kids. I cannot stand when there are annoying children at the public pool.

But I would have to prove Nassau county residence with Allegria as well?
The one in bellmore is good however theres also one in east meadow that is just as good and it's open later. I like it bc i used to go and swim after work when I worked on the island- its veterans park on prospect ave and it is open til 10.
Again people, read the OP's posts. She is not a resident of Nassau or Suffok county so she cannot use any residents only pools for Nassau County, Town of Hempstead, Town of Oyster Bay. She cannot get a Leisure Pass.
OP, for what you are describing, one of the Atlantic Beach/Lido Beach clubs would probably best fit your needs if they are not too far or expensive. As a member you can bring guests too, sometimes for a fee or sometimes for free on open guest days. So if your husband only used the pool occasionally, you could join with an individual membership and go all the time and he can join you on occassion as a guest. Eisenhower Park has an indoor pool, but I think (but don't quote me) it's for Nassau County residents only. You can get a membership for Hofstra's indoor pool without any special residency requirements, but it is indoors only, not really a place you would want to lounge around with a book, and it's expensive (otherwise I would have mentioned it before).

Thank you! Yes, you're right. I'm not a resident of Nassau or Suffolk. I've done research and you're right, most of those places do require proof of residency. I'm actually glad that happens b/c that means any ol' crazy can't pop their head in to use the facilities. But it's a bummer for me until I buy in Nassau.
Ah, ok! The Atlantic Beach/Lido Beach club sounds great! I'm going to check it out. Actually, I might take this Wed/Thurs off to head over to the pool. It's going to be so hot, and I need a full day of relaxation at the pool.

Since when do u need to be a resident to use the pool? You don't, you just pay more if you're not a resident but I am pretty sure with the exception of Levittown pools, you can live anywhere and still use it. I brought my college roommate with me to Newbridge pool and she is from Rockland County.
Jdawg is right. I stand corrected. When I was living in NYC, I could only get in as the guest of local resident. Now that I live here, I never bothered to see that the rules have changed and there is access for all. Thank you.

Thank you for the info! For non-residents, would I need to purchase a yearly membership? Or can I pay to attend a few single times?

Call first but I'm pretty sure most pools will let anyone come- they just have a higher fee for non-residents. And no I think u can just pay each time, u don't have to get a season pass. The passes are probably only worth it if you're going to go a lot... Seeing as ur not a resident, I would say don't get it but that's up to you. GL!
