I used to live in the Town of Huntington for years, but because of a job situation, moved out of LI in the 90's. So I'm afraid that much of my information is obsolete ... or might just be plain wrong.
My mother-in-law lives in Huntington, and needs an electrician. I did a quick Google, but haven't seen any with a large enough amount of ratings to suggest (she does not have a computer), and a couple of ratings here or there may or may not tell the story. Several people rate a business high or low for reasons other than the performance of the employees. (Competitors, trolls, relatives of the employer, etc.). I no longer see the electrician I used to call when my house had problems. Moved? Retired? New management? Dunno.
Can anyone still on Long Island recommend a licensed electrician in Huntington she can call ... or someone not far from Huntington? (I know that in my neck of the woods, some electricians charge extra if they have to travel a certain distance to make a repair ... I'm not sure if it's the same on Long Island now ... so I'm reluctant to suggest someone in the town of Babylon, for instance, unless he or she is a really great electrician.) I see that some electricians listed include Suffolk Electrical and Bob Hutchinson. Has anyone had experience with either of these companies?
I did search this forum, but in a moment of "duh", perhaps I missed a thread like this one. I saw many Nassau electricians, but not too many Suffolk ones. If I did miss the thread, I apologize, and would request that someone please post a link to the older thread.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Note: Some of these threads are a few years back, but I've also seen Mr. Sparky in Deer Park (not that far from Huntington) and John Dallao. Any experience with these electricians?

Reason: Just re-read the search one more time to see if I missed too much.
John Dallao is still in business - he's very reasonably priced and is a good, dependable, electrician. I think your mom would have no problem hiring him. A very decent individual who actually tries to save his customers $.
Thank you, Andrea and lubby. I'll relay the info to my MIL today. Again, much thanks!
You are welcome
