Massapequa is a nice area so my advice is to call the SPE Dept and speak with the Superintendent and talk specifics on what your child needs. They will not guarantee you that what programs they will provisde to your child because they have not met you or done any assessments on your child but the most important thing you need to know is that the services are in place and available in the school district.
Also call an IEP Advocate/Child Lawyer in the area and they can tell you if the district works with parents when finalizing an IEP.
Good Luck.

Really? They would model after Lindenhurst? The special ed (in the middle school, at least) is supposedly awful.
