What I like: the schools appear good on paper, sewers, nice library, close proximity (depending) to Southern State Parkway, close to Robert Moses Beach, shopping galore off Sunrise Highway.

What I don't like: crappy designed homes everywhere, lack of any coherent neighborhoods, run down town pool, very very high taxes.

If the school district ever changes then the areas North of Montauk would pretty much suck in my opinion. Nothing really nice there - bland neighborhoods.

And suck they do...I lived on Higbie.

Everything S of Sunrise is overpriced.

clam no joke here . The mexicanos are not in sachem east. I think most of those workers families are still in mexico. But san Farmador does go to east, so do my kids and we live by broadway ave in holbrook, go figure. hey do you have beach access up there in rocky point? How is the striper fishing on those beaches if you do?
