1BR apartment in long island (Melville, Jericho: rental, broker, area)

I have finally reached to long island and now I have to start looking for 1 BR apartment in long island. my wife and I will work around the same location - Melville / Jericho.

I am looking for agent/broker to assist me in find apartment (for rent purpose) as I am not familiar with the area (I am not originally from the US).
