Is there such a thing as the hands down best italian place on the island? I'm looking for some delicious cacio e pepe this weekend, and I'd love to stay on L.I.

Thank you!

Oh come on....even this Irishman can make that. If that is what you order at a good Italian place one would suspect you sneak Spaghetti O's at midnight.

I've never had it, so I'd like to. Didn't know that was a crime. But thanks for the compliments and suggestions. Nice of you to take time out of your day to rain on someone's post. Great job

That is a tough question since you are dealing with an individuals taste. I rarely enjoy eating at an Italian restaurant since I am Italian and don't like a lot of garlic. I always cook with it and my food has what I would call a hint of garlic but it is by no means strong. I have been told by more than one friend that Crossroads in Hicksville is very good and reasonably priced too. I have never been there.

And the favorite Irish Catholic meal when you couldnt eat meat on Friday. Fish Cakes and Franco-American Spaghetti.

Our favorite is Cara Mia in Seaford - next to the movie theatre on Merrick Road.

Sempre Vivolo in hauppague. It's not a pizza place, it's a real restaurant.
