I said $28,000 was the tuition for K-12 at Friends, not pre-school. Second of all, if you don't live near Friends, why on earth would you want to transport a 2 year old there? A 2 yr. old is a baby, a toddler. Don't YOU want to be your child's first and best teacher? I only sent my two kids (now 23 and 28) for 3 half days a week when they were 4. Those early years fly by way too fast and are the most precious.
The pre-K program is for ages 3 and up; the OP's child is turning 2.
Ah, very good. Well far be it from me to be so judgmental as to think spending $4000 for a group Happy Thought is not something I would do. But I've raised my kids. Am now saddled with parent plus loans for their degrees. I didn't save, couldn't find a way as hard as we tried. I dread to think what college will cost when this 2 year old is ready for Harvard. I'm willing to bet over $100,000 a year.
