It's not. It's a national problem. As it's often said "you can run but you can't hide folks".
Thank you.

Let's be honest, the US sends money to Mexico. The corrupt gov't pockets it. The US sends billions of dollars all over the world...Israel, Africa, etc. not just b/c there's oil at the end of the rainbow.

Let's also be honest, just b/c you're illegal doesn't mean your bad, and just b/c you're legal doesn't mean you're good. The law enforcement in this country needs to be stepped up all around. Parents needs to pay attention to their kids and not be afraid to smack them in the ass. People need to stop being so liberal and start taking some responsibility for their actions (e.g., subprime foreclosure issue). The overall climate of this country is to lax and that's the real problem. People forget what made this country great 50 years ago. Too much MTV, Grammy awards, and Orpah.

True.

The government counts on the sheeple to have the attention span of a guppy and feeds them soundbites. No wonder people know more about Paris Hilton than about any of the aspiring Presidential candidates.

wwarrior74 is on a distinguished road
Default All My Friends Gone

I graduated from Wantagh High in 1974. I lived in Wantagh all my life. My Mom graduated from Mepham High in Bellmore. All my family and friends where on Long Island. My parents moved upstate in Oct 1974. I was already in the military when they moved. In my latest Alumni Book Wantagh High very few classmates still live on the Island. Probably because they got tired of working 3 jobs to keep their heads above water or paying out 10 grand a year in taxes ! I have a few relatives, and my wife has a few (she is from Wantagh too). It seems most of them are working constantly just to get by. Not to have a lot extra. Just to pay the bills. I live in Saratoga County near Saratoga Springs now which I really don't like either ( we are getting ready to move out of NY). So I must make the occasional trip there cursing the traffic on Cross Island and Southern State Pkwy and thanking God I don't have to drive it every day. The only thing I do miss is the Italian Food (Pizza), Hot Bagels, Knishes, and the beach ! Everything else they can keep. But it was fun in the 60's !
