I just went for a consult. I was told $4900 for both eyes at TLC
If anyone had this surgery done within the last 1-2 years, can you tell me who you used and cost? As well as outcome?
Thanks!
Dr Anthony Napolitano in Howard Beach or Ozone Park. 5k for prk in 2007. Was eligible for LASIK but prk has better long term outcome. I see perfectly 5years later. Grat doctor and staff. He and his father (of the same name) run the practice. He was trained by Dr. Mackool, the pioneer of the surgery. Don't let price be your determining factor, but pedigree of the doctor...but I am sure you know that anyway. Best wishes on your search. You will not regret it.

Wow it's gotten expensive. I had mine done for about $2200 about 10 years ago in FL. I can tell you this, it was the best money I ever spent! 10 years later I still see 20/20. You won't regret it.

Good to hear. Thanks! Wish things cost the same as they did 10 years ago. LOL
Is this tax-deductible if you pay for it out of a health flex spending account? Just curious.
Since you are paying through your flex spending account, there is no other tax benefit as the flex spend account has already been funded pre tax.
BTW - I had Lasix done in 2001 - at the time it cost 3,000. I had Dr Gross - an opthalmologist in Wantagh do the surgery. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. My distance vision is still 20 / 20. Over the years (I'm in my 50's) I have required the need for reading glasses, but that is due to age.
I'm happy someone started this thread. I've been researching the procedure and there seems to be a few options out there. But finding a doctor that is highly recommended is hard. Out of all the people I know, not one has had this done which stinks! I'm in Merrick and would like to get Lasik this year, but I won't just go to anyone. I hope to find more people add to this thread that can offer insight too.
Just caught this thread. Grew up on LI but in PA now. Asked about it for my son as a college grad present. Looking at $3,500 here. Seems like an over the top present but I have $900 left in my pre tax account and I thought I would price check it. May pass and take another route with the over funding.

I just had 2 consults this week. TLC in Garden City is who i choose. Not the cheapest, however this is not about price.
