Anyone have experience leaving your car over night at LGA? Is it worth the time? I heard that the parking lots are far from the airport and you need to take shuttles.

Yes, parking at LGA sucks, but last time we used one of the satellite parking lots outside of the airport (AirPark, I think). Also, there's a hotel with very limited spots, since it's indoors, that's a better deal.

Parking across the Grand Central is not too inconvenient, shuttles come and go often.

Take a cab. Dont bring your car into NYC. It's a crime ridden sewer.

I'm not sure about parking at the airport, it has a bad history of stolen vehicles and break-ins, but car theft in NYC has really decreased.

Parking lot#3 at LGA is on airport long term parking, $33 for the first 24 hours. There is a shuttle to the other terminals.

I forgot to mention, parked there around 10 times a year overnight, never had a problem nor do I know anyone who had an issue. There are cameras everywhere, much different than 10 years ago.

Taking a cab can get is pricey or inconvenient if you live in Nassau or Suffolk, taking an NYC cab or arranging for a service isn't worth the expense.

Last March, a car from Western Suffolk to LGA was $140 one-way. Yeah, right.
