My husband works in an auto part store and was selling locking gas caps like crazy the last 2 days.

It is already loosening up. If you dont absolutley need gas now I bet by Tuesday it will be much better with more stations open and more gas arriving.

People are just panicking. This won't last forever. By next weekend we'll all have forgotten what a "gas line" looks like.

God, I sooo hope you're right...I've got like a quarter of a tank left and a ten mile round trip to work.

10 miles round trip is cake. Unless you are driving a tank you should have enough to get you to and from work a couple more days.

That was for hess which is getting a delivery tonight between 12 - 6, I don't think valero has opened up yet.

My hubby got gas at 76 on Carlton early this morning with less then an hour wait and topped my car off tonight with an hour wait on Main st in e. islip paying $4.59 a gal. My hubby has been working all throught the storm all over the island and his truck has to be running for the machine inside to pump water out of peoples homes. As for my gas since cells weren't working I need to drive to the in laws to check on them plus need to bring my son back to college tomorrow. I was prepared but really never expected to have so little gas available.

You're always bringing this up - must know some wealthy people. I don't have one friend who was given their down payment, or was even helped with it. Believe it or not some people can actually save!
