Has LIPA been calling back when power is restored when you register an outage on their website?

Thanks

My parents got a call but last night the woman said she didn't think they were still making calls.

NO - they said they would.
3 days later, no call.
BUT not complaining - I'd rather get power than a phone call! :-)

Well sort of. They called me at 1030 pm on Tuesday the 30th to confirm power was restored. The power actually came back on the 3rd at 7 am.

They said they would call with updates, but never did. But as someone else said, I rather that I got the power than the phone call and very grateful.

If you're lucky LIPA will give you a call 2 days after you get your power back. More than likely they will just ignore you, or send you a text talking about "specialized crews and equipment".

I can't believe this is a serious question - why the heck should they call you?
