Well, around 11 AM power flickered on & off 5 times, then went OUT altogether here in Roslyn.
From what I've been told, its out in Glen Head, EAst Hills, ROslyn - very wide area. And there were lots of police & ambulances coming by as well. Hoping that was related to the power loss & it'll be coming back soon. One neighbor was told that the power should be back on by around 1:00. It's 2:00 - hope that report is close to correct. And the snow is falling fairly heavy. Strong winds from Athena not quite here yet.

Had just restocked freezer & fridge.

Did you call it in? Supposedly post-Sandy calls are going to be queued until Sandy related work is done.

Got power back Saturday morning. Then transformer blew Sunday evening and power has since not been restored to that area!

Not only did I call it in, but I met several neighbors who also called it in.
But it's not showing on the LIPA map.
Part of the area that was out this AM has power back - the stores on Main St in Roslyn.
Homes don't.

Didn't do a full stock - just enough for a few days - hopefully we'll be back in less than 2 days so it'll stay frozen. Several bags ice in freezer with the food.

I can't conceive of how awful it must be for those of you who haven't gotten power back yet from Sandy, and espcially for those who no longer can go home. I am so sorry.

Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately it's a bit "general". I'd like to see something more specific rather than just by Hamlet or Village...

Came back on at 445. LIPA is working through this and not ignoring those who regained power and lost it again
