My brother (age 48) remembers hearing the saw mill operate on Saw Mill Road from the house I grew up in! Crazy.....times change.

I've always wondered if there really was a "saw mill" there or an "old mill" on Old Mill Road. To tell you the truth, though, I had no idea what a saw mill even was and had to look it up just now. Can't imagine anything like that being there!! Then again, there was an active Army base around the block when I was a kid, and that seems equally far fetched in North Bellmore nowadays.

I scanned this thread quickly but didn't see any of these; sorry if dupes. I think this is the nicest place to sit awhile and reflect on those lost that day. These were taken over the July 4th weekend.
