Sunset taken from Farmingville.

There's a small island just south of Lindenhurst Harbor in the Great South Bay that we jetski to. We chill out there, have picnics, bonfires, etc. Not the greatest pic because the humidity was playing with the cam, but here you are...

Another Farmingville sunset

Victims listed on the TWA Memorial @ Smith Point Park

Lindenhurst Harbor (taken from the town Pier) in the dead of winter

On my way to Greenport...

Greenport Art...

World Renowned (OK, maybe not) Claudios in Greenport. Tidbit...this place has the notoriety of being the oldest, family owned restaurant in the country.

An old rowboat being reclaimed by natures in the bushes/dunes in Patchogue

Robert Moses needle

Sun setting behind the dunes at Robert Moses

Robert Moses causeway from the beach

Bayard house at the aboreteum in Oakdale

same...

Centennial Rock at Bayard Cutting Arboreteum

An un-cooperative goose at Bayard...

Young buck in Westhampton Beach

Looking east on Westhampton Beach

My old transportation on Westhampton Beach

same...

My boys in Westhampton from the day above.

Kayakers in the Connetquot river taken during the fall. Taken from Bayard Cutting Arboreteum

Foliage at Bayard

Trail going through the oakdale woods in Bayard...

Duck at Bayard

The old carriage house on the Bayard property

One of the dining rooms in the main Bayard house

That's all folks...(sunset from Robert Moses...)

EXCELLENT!! Those are some of the best pics that have been posted on here yet, that whole set is such a good representation of some of the best LI has to offer. I dunno how anybody could come look at those pics and not say "man, I'd really want to live there".

Love the dogs and the Tahoe too!!

Forget that....ever try walking instead of driving right in yer own town?
When I started jogging and riding my bike around my neighborhood I was shocked at all the sights I missed "driving" past them all these years and I'm talking within a few blocks of my house.
Interesting...ain't it?
That's a thread in of itself....

Well just remember it cuz in a few decades what you see on foot will be history.
It's too easy to take for granted. I remember seeing things from foot and bicycle when I was a kid especially being I lived in the city way back then.
It's a whole other world and something to always stay aware of...
