That's actually what my first thought was, the stretch of the Taconic that runs along the large reservoir in northern Westchester....but I'm pretty sure the parkway splits northbound & southbound traffic to each side of the reservoir....and I'm also pretty sure there aren't any parts of the Taconic that are one lane each way with no divider.

If thats Metro North...then the road would be 9A...probably near Garrison or Peekskill. The cliffs are pretty steep like that there.
