Munsey Park is an Inc Village of 3000 residents http://www.munseypark.org/
A lot of them really shouldn't be on there but I have a feeling they will be anyway haha....I'm not exactly sure what the criteria is to be a "fake town" but I'm gonna try to explain all of them....

SUFFOLK

Smiths Point - I think this is an older name for what is now the hamlet of Mastic Beach.

E Yaphank - Never heard of this but I'm guessing it's just a fancy name for the neighborhood between South Haven Park and Brookhaven Airport (which is in the hamlet of Shirley).

Manor Park - Neighborhood in the hamlet of Mastic, I think located between Sunrise and Montauk Highway. Another one that might be an old development.

Upton - Mailing address of Brookhaven National Laboratories. Former WWI army outpost and possibly a hamlet at one time.

Edgewood - No clue but I'm guessing the neighborhood close to the old Edgewood State Hospital in the hamlet of Deer Park?

Crab Meadow - An older name for the Northport area, and I guess a neighborhood near the Crab Meadow Golf Course?

Pinelawn - Cemetery in the hamlet of East Farmingdale.

Deer Hills - Neighborhood in (I'm assuming) the north part of the hamlet of Deer Park.

Strongs Neck - Neighborhood in the hamlet of Setauket-East Setauket. Also a peninsula. In olden times "Neck" was a synonym for "owned land".

South Greenlawn - Neighborhood in the hamlet of Greenlawn that has the 11743 (Huntington) zip code.

North Brentwood - I guess the north section of the hamlet of Brentwood?

Lake Hills - Neighborhood in the hamlet of Ronkonkoma, formerly part of Lakeland.

Village of the Branch - Village in the Town of Smithtown, incorporated in 1927.

My main source is "Special Districts and Service Area" by the Nassau County Planning Commission, an 11" X 17" spiral bound publication that has maps showing the borders of communities, school districts, library districts, postal ZIP Codes, water districts, sanitary sewer districts, police districts, park districts, fire districts, etc., etc., etc.

Because people and firms use "North Massapequa, NY 11758" in their mailing address, does not make it correct.

No part of the Hamlet of Seaford is in the Town of Oyster Bay.

Seaford is a hamlet (unincorporated area) in the extreme southeast section of the Town of Hempstead, in the southeast part of Nassau County, along the Hempstead/Oyster Bay town line.
Even the folks at City-Data appear to have made what your charts deem a faux pas: NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY Political Contributions by Individuals

Your chart from the "Nassau County Planning Commission" might have all of the minutiae spelled out for the overly special tax district bloated bureaucrats, and while it applies to them, the residents of the area and their postal service will still say, "North Massapequa."

Perhaps you should go door to door throughout the area where people and firms use "North Massapequa" and tell them they are incorrect? As far back as I recall, 1974, that is what we used. Let's not forget that there are also 2 zip codes for Massapequa -- 11758 & 11762. 11762 bissects Massapequa and 11762 is considered Massapequa Park, although some people drop the Park and use Massapequa, NY 11762. Should we split hairs with them over this ommission?

Zip 11758 has two post offices. One branch handles North Massapequa, and until very recently was in North Massapequa. Tom Gaynor with the Postal Service has confirmed that it is now located in postal Seaford, not Hamlet Seaford. The other branch covers everything south up to the barrier beach.

Call it what you will, but North Massapequa has and will always be referred to as North Massapequa by North Massapequans.

If you're curious about a little history of San Remo: The land was originally owned by someone who owned an Italian language newspaper in Brooklyn in the early 1900's. As a promotion, if you subscribed to his newspaper, you would receive a plot of land in San Remo. To this day, San Remo has small plots and is largely Italian.
