Sorry Buddy
Community Preservation Fund Brookhaven, Long Island -- Yes For Open Space AKA Real Estate Transfer Tax C |

I've lived in Brookhaven for forty years and I have learned...
1) What ever the Real Estate Agents are lobbying for... do the opposite in your community and you will be making the correct decision. This includes all large development projects, road widening etc. 2) Low Income, Worker Housing , Affordable Housing and all other euphemisms will fill up with illegal aliens and other immigrants as soon as they go up. You'll have to deal with all of the goodies brought to your community. High density housing is the "Queensification Program" and nothing more. Workers should and can commute to and from Nassau and Queens. These commutes are done by millions everyday. 3) The Brookhaven Town Board are frightened children, controlled by developers and a transfer tax ,although deplorable, is more likely to save some of whats left. The Brookhaven Town Board and Zoning Board will give everything away, everyday, every way and continue to be reelected. 4) Town Boards that approve increases in sewage dumping/ disposal into the Long Island Sound and the Great South Bay (like the Brookhaven Board does routinely) should be removed from office IMMEDIATELY as they are a danger to our community. |

I am pleased to report that the voters of Brookhaven chose to help maintain the resale value of their homes and rejected the transfer tax.
