I will be telling stories of the 1996 blizzard. 28" fell back in Pennsylvania. No school for a week.

Well if 50 is the new 30 and you are slightly over, then 40 is the new 20 and I am slightly over that

I was 10 and I remember the snow being up to our windows.

It's 57 degrees and cloudy where I'm sitting now...thankfully.

i was 16, my dad came back from work to find his car encased in a cube of ice at the RR station. a cop gave him a lift home. next day a tow truck freed the car from the ice. there was a similar blizzard that same month in 1979 too

I was in middle school. We walked to school (almost a mile) because they NEVER closed our schools. And weren't we surprised when we got there and it was closed. For a week! Lindenhurst. We stepped over 3 foot fences because the snow was piled so high.
