I'm looking for a restaurant/bar that has a nice selection of single malt scotch. Anywhere in Nassau would be perfect. Anyone have any recommendations?

So I guess LI culture hasn't come much further since 2009? Like I'm surprised. We're a bedroom community (more like bathroom). You'll have to go to the living room for that sort of thing.

Looking for a restaurant/bar with a nice selection of single malt scotches?

What motivates people to drink Scotch nowadays?

I have always wanted to open a Scotch oriented bar but have no background in that type business.

I figured I would revive this since I was in a time out right after I posted and the thread got buried.

Anyone have any ideas? I still would like to find a place so I can compare scotches from different regions. I always have 2 or 3 different bottles at home, but I don't spend more than $50-70 on a bottle. 99% of the time it is on the cheaper end of that range. I'd love to find a place where the bartender is educated about scotch and also has a selection of scotch the I wouldn't buy by the bottle, but would like to try by the glass.

Stop with the Single Malt Hipster Snobbery. A good shot of Fleischmanns is all you need.

Too funny...or not. That was my final choice before I quit drinking. I was knocking off a quart a day at the end. Now I lurk church basements with that cult of drunks who live one day at a time.

Congrats!

I don't think I've ever been called a hipster. I can assure you I'm not a hipster. I don't even know how drinking
Scotch would make someone a hipster. A hipster?? Please explain.
