What are your favorite things to do on Long Island?

For me, I love biking on that path along the Wantagh Parkway to Jones Beach. I have a smaller car now, so I need to get a bike rack soon to go again

Visiting the Frick Estate in Roslyn Harbor , Old Bethpage Village, the Cutting Arboretum and Old Westbury Gardens & imagining the Long Island of long ago.


Driving across the Robert Moses Causeway .... wonderful .

Its such a pretty beach. The walk up to the Lighthouse. I love Greenport on the North Shore. Montauk and Long beach on the South shore. Its not part of Long Island but taking the ferry to Block Island from Montauk..

If you like fishing head out to Captree. 4 hours on the water at great prices. They provide the fishing rod.

Lets not forget Ocean Beach Fire Island. I hope they were able to recover from Sandy.

If you have kids take them to Atlantis in Riverhead. I enjoyed the Seahorse tank. They are so interesting.
