I was wandering if my wait time w/NG is too excessive: i called NG almost 3 weeks ago regarding gas conversion (houses around me have gas service already). They said they would do some research and get back to me the following week. Nobody called. I contacted them again last Friday, the 26th. They said somebody would do research for me within a week.
I called again today and had a formal "they are working on this" w/no concrete dates or commitments.

Are they so busy or I just was unlucky?

Thanks!
ps I am a little anxious as it holds up other jobs around the house.

My MIL set up her conversion to gas in March, she just got it done in July. Your wait time is not excessive.

Thanks, Lubby.
actually, this is pre-appointment research as they said. They did not give me any firm date.

The clamor for natural gas conversions has been amazing. There is definitely a waiting period but be patient they'll get to you

Any experience what the wait is from line request going in to them being complete on the service line side is? I skipped their research stages; just confirmed they had mains on the street. Asked for referrals, but had multiple quotes before their person even called.. I hear 6 weeks 8 weeks, 12 weeks..

No surprise on the demand for it; I am doing a conversion burner, and even at horrible efficiency will probably save more than the cost of converting this winter alone.
