This isn't about liking or disliking diversity, the poster wanted suggestions for nice Italian-American communities.

North Bab ain't the safe Italian stronghold of old.

You know it

We know it.

The Middle of LI has more ?marks every day.

Be honest.

I though you were looking to move out.

OK. North Babylon has a great Italian-American community as does Deer Park and West Babylon.

BTW you brought up Diversity Clamboy? Why? What was your point?

Why the animosity towards everything around 231 and Mustang GTs which many Italian-American kids like?

Holy crap is it really necessary to get into an argument over this? This is going totally off-topic.

Coming from Huntington (where I grew up) would I prefer Rocky Point or the Babylons? I think Deer Park is out - I don't recall there being a town center, which is very important to me.

Do you like more planned development settings, or more country, less architectually homogenous neighborhoods?

I love Babylon Village but it comes at a premium.
(Stop in at Gemellis when youre there)
Id stay away from anything North of Montauk(or at very least Sunrise) on the South Shore.

Having lived on both..I prefer the North.

It really depends on budget.
