Certain areas near the water may see a drop if we get more extreme weather in the future, but who knows - areas in the southeast have gotten pummeled many more times than us and they still come back. People still build on fault lines and brush fire zones and any number of risky areas, since basically everyplace is subject to some kind of natural disaster. I think what will really kill LI is the fate of NYC. But if NYC falls this country will have bigger problems than Long Island real estate values.
