Amen! I think those inflatable decoratons are so tacky, followed by those white wired sculptures of deer, snowmen, trees, etc! Whatever happened to tasteful decorations? Great post!

I'm sure this IS NOT what Jesus had in mind for his birthday celebration.

Use your heads people-these "decorations" are HIDEOUS in every way!

I think it depends on the size of the front lawn. Most of the houses in my neighborhood have very large yards, so one or two inflatables looks fine. But if there are several of them crowded together in a small front yard, that doesn't look good in my opinion.

Its a free country. We all have shoices how we like to decorate or not decorate. Its Freedom to choose what we want. If I choose to fix my house up and spend money on landscaping and siding and fences and windows to make my house look nice thats my chioce. If the house across the street has the same siding a roof from 1959 and the trees are coverng all the windows thats their choice. Maybe you can find a nice condo developement where they dont allow decorations and everything must be uniform.

Just remember: money doesn't buy taste.

There are plenty of plastic fences, cheap replacement windows and vinyl sided monstrosities all over the place. Funny -- those are the type of houses which tend to have inflatables, too!

OhBee-you hit the nail on the head! Plastic houses that are made from petroleum based products & lets not forget PVC that has been linked to numerous diseases & malities are really great for us, no thanks-I'd rather seeing a house with old shingles.
Oil is almost $100 a barrel, gas is reaching an all time high, LIPA is hiking its rates AGAIN. Let's keep running little energy hogs on our front lawn to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
