I took her out tonight for her first crack at driving at dusk. At a right turn on red, she got confused and did a quick stop a bit too late, the camera flash went off. I told her to come to a full stop but she thought it was too late (she was flustered), and proceeded to turn; the camera flash went off again.
Now, if a cop pulled us over he would probably let it go. What does one do in this case?
Hope.Pray.Hold your breath. Good luck. We have three daughters. The first two were decent and passed road test the first time. The last one failed three times before passing. Ten years later she is the only one who hasn't had an accident (knock wood) or gotten a ticket(s).

It took me three times to pass, and thirty years later I haven't had an accident or ticket (knock wood).
They review the pictures - there is probably more than one and will show she stopped. If not, you can go to court and say you weren't driving....which is the truth.
The best and safest place to teach your kid to drive is in the nearest road test zone. Also school zones, preferably elementary.
You're not supposed to drive where the road tests are given.
And, yes, we started out in parking lots, but that was six months ago, now we're onto busy roads like MiddLe Country. I can't wait till we go on the LIE for the first time.
