I am looking to put down new 20x40 inch tile but cannot find a tile cutter capable of cutting through the length of 40 inches in an efficient manner.

Any ideas where I can rent a cutter that size?

Anyone done this before and had success utilizing a different sort of tile cutter?

Thank you!

you need to either rent or buy a wet saw used to cut tile. after renting a wet saw a couple of times to do tile work on my home I bought an inexpensive one at home depot. it has been worth every penny. If your a home owner who DIY's DON"T be afraid to buy tools. You will use them

I just had this dilema this past week. I dropped a heavy object on my kitchen floor and broke the tile. It was 16.5 x 16.5. I called Cancos in Smithtown where I purchased the tile and they gave me two numbers of tile setters. What they said was that they are familiar with both and that ,they are both licensed and insured, So I called a guy named Tom. You can look him up at Boccardtile.com. I called him up and told him what I had and it said hows One hundred dollars sound. Done was my reply. Because after you run out and rent or buy you are close to 100 dollars anyway. It took alittle over 1 hour , neat clean decent guy.
