For the past few years I've noticed something on my drive to and from work that has kind of made me wonder what's going on . . .

There's a house that constantly has tons of black garbage bags piled on the front porch and thrown on the front lawn. I've seen a lady carry some of the bags to the curb for garbage pick up once in a while, but continues to leave some on the lawn and porch and the pile keeps growing. The other day I saw her carrying the bags while holding her shirt over her nose like she was going to throw up from the smell.

I've really begun to wonder what's in those bags??? I was thinking maybe she's a hoarder and she's finally decided to clean up. Or maybe she has a ton of cats and dogs in her house and those are the papers they go to the bathroom on. I really don't want to get involved, but this woman really seems to have a problem and I was thinking of contacting the ASPCA to check and see if she's one of those animal hoarders. She really doesn't look "all there". She's always in sweats or pajamas, messy hair, big old fashioned glasses, kind of wanders around her property, etc. The house must be nasty inside!!

What would you do??? I know I'm leaving myself wide open with this question and am expecting some serious and funny answers!

I would ask if she's getting the bags for free from the town, then ask the town why I aren't getting them too.

Seriously though, I'd probably do nothing, unless it was my next door neighbor and it bothered me.

If you care that much, leave a little early for work and stop by and see if there is anything you can do to help her. That is part of what is wrong with our society these days. Everyone is ready to call officials on our neighbors instead of putting ourselves out there and helping out. What, are you afraid you'll get your hands dirty? Worst case scenario, you have tried to help a neighbor and she said no. But with that you will have gotten close enough to smell if there is any real issue and you will know who to call to help her out properly.

Any way you can call the town to say it's a smell coming from the property and explain about all the bags? There could be many illegal renters in there creating that massive amt of garbage.

Maybe she lives in the middle of a garbage vortex and is constantly throwing stuff away.
