Has anyone used a piano mover? Looking for one that specifically moves pianos (not a general moving company that moves pianos along with everything else). Looking for recommendations/avoids. Thanks!
I'm not sure if they do just piano moving, but we used Pianotek in Huntington Station to take our moldy old console on consignment at a time when most piano companies would recommend that you chop up those kinds of instruments for firewood. They took great care in removing the piano from our home and loading it on their truck, so I can imagine how careful they are with really valuable pieces.
Bates Brothers - 516-379-1997. Professional piano movers. They charged me $500 back in 2008 to move my grand a 45-minute distance. Hopefully this phone number is current.
My friend moved Debbie Gibsons piano once. It was once owned by Liberace. He told me her mother was very rude and called the mover "white trash". Not a nicething to call a 6 foot 6, 300 pound guy while moving a priceless piano
I wound up using Action Piano Movers out of Rockland County. They were the most affordable for a Long Island to Westchester move and I couldn't be happier with the service.
