I am at about 2500 sq ft.....almost CFL & LED lights and energy star appliance in my house as well. I use electric dryer, washing machine, electric stove, one large flat screen tv......been at my current residence over 10 yrs.....its about 80 a month for me in the winter. peak summer with central ac can push about 150-200 a month

I'm jealous, or I would be, but where I live now, I pay $.09/kwH. My utility rates are dramatically lower now that I don't have LIPA or Nat'l Grid.

We live in 1500 sq ft. We have solar panels though (came with the house when we bought it). We have a propane gas stove, oil heat. We have a washer, dryer, dishwasher. It's just two of us though.

We hover around the $50 range each month since we moved in the place in September. We do plan to buy more LED bulbs in the house in the coming year. Hopefully get the bill even lower, even though it is low already.

Received my first electric bill under PSEGLI. My utility bill jumped almost 40%. No external Christmas lights this year, only the lights on the Christmas tree so I expected my bill to be a little higher but not by that much. Anyone else seeing the same?

That's a huge jump. Maybe it was an overestimation and you'll see a smaller bill next month.

What does the meter currently read at the house and what # does it say the last reading was? Was it an estimate or actual?

Do you have anything electrical like a line heater or space heater (boiler area?) plugged in?

What does "then the next month over that" mean? Are you saying $1000 each for 2 months? Ensure your meter matches their readings first.
