From Tri-state weather

***MAJOR WEATHER UPDATE*** I warned about the plus part of my forecast and now I am going to up those amounts. Read carefully! A general 10-20 inches are likely for the region with possible 24+ inches which includes most of LI (maybe not the eastern part) and maybe not coastal NJ but includes the rest of the tri-state region. With the short term models coming in some strong and with the current radar looking the way it does, this will be a big storm! Again still a two part storm and the mixing and change over is still in tack for now but the rates will be high. I think NYC school will closed in the AM (do not hold me to that) but I would advise everyone to let your friends and family know how big this storm will be! I will continue to update everyone!

Ignore the post I made before the map. Not sure what that guy was smoking when he predicted that.

made it to work 8am.

I even did some hefty walking to around midtown. As of 7-8am....Temp isn't bad. snow isn't bad...the wind is pretty annoying....so umbrella is useless. Nothing alerts me more than snow going up my nose & pelting in my eyes

'They' say it's above freezing, so this foot of white stuff must be an illusion.

at 7am on LI, I felt it was watery snow. By the time I was in midtown at 7:30, it was more solid white fluffy snow. Definitely not the same texture of snow
