Does anyone here have experience filing a small claims court suit against someone? My question is...Does anyone know, on average, how long the time frame is from when you file the claim to you actually get a court date. Thanks .

Depends on which court, I have gotten court dates two weeks after filing and I've had to wait three months. I think two months is about the norm though

call the court and ask them. You'll get a correct answer.

So easy to do.
Fill out complaint form (I think I downloaded it online)
Go to small claims court ( I went to 454 in Hauppauge)
They give you a court date right there when you give them your complaint form, usually within a few weeks.
Meet with mediator & the other party.

I won, I received my check within a few weeks.
Pictures help!
