Remember Video Village, Beat the Clock with Bud Collier, December Bride-Harry Morgan was in that one (Mash) Queen for a Day. There was Man from Uncle-That was when colored TV's came into being.
I also remember when the Fuller brush man came and we were given Davy Crockett hats. Fury with tails.
I remember Million Dollar Movie. I also remember a movie called Tom, Dick and Harry. That was one of my favs.
Another great memory, walking to midnight mass with friends on a snowy evening. All bundled up, we walked in a large group with friends to see the church lit up. No worries about what might happen to you.
As today is Christmas I wish everyone on this board a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. As Kinky Friedman says, May you pray to the God of your choice.

Bottle rocket wars and roman candle duels in the streets.
Backyard boxing matches.
Going to the town dump, roaming the trash and scavenging for stuff for whatever project we were trying to build. Added bonus was finding old Playboys, radios, furniture and other things that would find their way into one of our club houses or forts.
Making our bikes into choppers by cutting the front forks off of one bike and hammering them over the forks of our bikes. Sometimes they'd fall off pitching you over the handle bars.
As teens building motorbikes by bolting an old lawn mower engine onto the frame of a stingray. The speed control was usually done by manipulating the throttle with one hand while steering with the other. Brakes were optional.
Building elaborate underground tunnels in the woods and flimsy tree forts on the tops of pine trees.
Jumping out the windows or off the roof of a split that was under construction into a big pile of sand.
Trying to swim Southard Pond.
Riding our bikes everywhere.
There was more and somehow we made it through childhood OK if with a few scars.

Got shot in the face during a BB gun war. Had to go to the ER.
What about dirt bomb fights? Remember when a new store or house was being built and you would team up and hide behind the big dirt mounds and wing clumps of dirt at each other! Didn't check for rocks, just picked em up and threw them!

Gosh. I vaguely remember those, too. The Little Rascals ; they were claasics and I think you can get them on DVDs. Jackie Cooper is probably the only surviving member. (at least I think he is still alive) December Bride, Mr. Peepers, Bachelor Father , Our Miss Brooks .These were popular when I was very very young. I wish they would show some of these on TV Land, but there probably aren't enough of us who even remember them.

Anyone remember the Joan Davis show? I think Jim Bacus was on it. Real McCoys? How to Marry a Millionaire. Barbara Eden was in that one w/2 other women, they were roommates.
Toys- do you remember Mr. Machine. I can still see the commercial with the robot walking.

Not to long ago I bought The Three Stooges tee shirts. My boys took them, ages 18 and 19. I also bought an I Love Lucy shirt. I went to a pro golf tournament and had a lot of comments from the pro golfers, some big names. They loved the shirt.
