You can search by school district or by town (or both).

Old Chester Hills is not a category on MLS just as Hillbrae & West Neck & Bay Hills (another quaint area) aren't. If you want I can email you the listings in those areas pvtly or you can search Huntington SD#1 & then look at a map. Not everything in SD#1 is in Old Chester Hills. Godfrey is the main street that runs through it.

I would search by Elwood district and when you look at individual homes, under section/area in the top right hand corner will say "Old Chester Hills" most likely, such as this listing.
http://www.mlsli.com/uniDetails.CFM?...tart=21&rpp=20 Do you like this home? I do!
Some homes will be Greenlawn, some will be Huntington. Just search Suffolk and Elwood school district.

I was just thinking, what about Sea Cliff? Have you ever heard of it? It is on the North Shore in Nassau county, but much closer than Huntington area.
Quaint town, not huge properties overall like you will find in Huntington. But it has that New England charm. I would suggest checking it out also. http://www.seacliff-ny.gov/

The Village of Sea Cliff in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, is the most unique community in either Nassau or Suffolk County: it's the only city, village or hamlet that has the exact, same, identical border with the ZIP Code postal zone that "shares" its name.
For those who may not be familiar with Sea Cliff:
Sea Cliff is a village (incorporated in 1883) in the northwest part of the Town of Oyster Bay, in the north-central part of Nassau County.
Beginning on the north and moving in a clockwise direction, the Village of Sea Cliff is bordered on the north by the City of Glen Cove; on the east by the Hamlet of Glen Head; on the south by the Hamlet of Glenwood Landing; and, on the west by Hempstead Harbor.
The Village of Sea Cliff is the ONLY village or hamlet in either Nassau County or Suffolk County where the same-named postal zone is coterminous with the community whose name it shares: every place in the Village of Sea Cliff has a "Sea Cliff, NY 11579" mailing address and every place with a "Sea Cliff, NY 11579" mailing address is in the Village of Sea Cliff. No other city, village or hamlet on Long Island can make this statement.
For a good set of town-by-town maps showing all the villages and hamlets in each of LI's 13 towns (3 in Nassau County and 10 in Suffolk County):

If I'm reading the map correctly, it would appear that Old Chester Hills is a neighborhood in the Hamlet of Elwood.
For those who may not be familiar with Elwood:
Elwood is a hamlet (an unincorporated area) in the central part of the Town of Huntington, in the northwest part of Suffolk County.
Beginning on the north and moving in a clockwise direction, the Hamlet of Elwood in the Town of Huntington is bordered on the north by the Hamlet of Greenlawn and the Hamlet of East Northport; on the east by the Hamlet of East Northport and the Hamlet of Commack; on the south by the Hamlet of Dix Hills; and, on the west by the Hamlet of Greenlawn.
Elwood is one of those many villages and hamlets on Long Island where none of the places in the community have the hamlet's name in their mailing address: places in the Hamlet of Elwood have a "Huntington, NY 11743", "Greenlawn, NY 11740" "East Northport, NY 11731", "Commack, NY 11725" or "Dix Hills, NY 11746" mailing address.

If you're looking for Currier and Ives, take a look at Northport Village - right on the water, old captain's houses, etc. Pretty decent school district too - a few miles east of Huntington.

For those who may not be familiar with Northport:
Northport is a village (incorporated in 1894) in the northeast part of the Town of Huntington, in the northwest part of Suffolk County.
Beginning on the north and moving in a clockwise direction, the Village of Northport in the Town of Huntington is bordered on the north by the Village of Asharoken and the Hamlet of Fort Salonga; on the east by the Hamlet of Fort Salonga; on the south by the Hamlet of East Northport; and, on the west by the Hamlet of Centerport and Huntington Harbor.
The Village of Northport has a different border than does the "Northport, NY 11768" postal zone (i.e., a place can have a "Northport, NY 11768" mailing address and not be in the Village of Northport): places that have a "Northport, NY 11768" mailing address that are not in the Village of Northport are in the Hamlet of Eatons Neck, the Village of Asharoken, the Hamlet of Fort Salonga, the Hamlet of East Northport and the Hamlet of Centerport.
