saw that the other day... why are parkway overpasses so low anyway? The LIE overpasses are higher. Why? Specifically so commercial trucks can fit?

Robert Moses designed the parkways so that city minorities could not take buses to use Long Island's beaches, which were meant for the residents. He had the right idea. I never go to Jones beach anymore for that very reason.

All the NY metro parkways have these lower bridges including the Palisades and Taconic. By design they weren't intended for truck traffic.

I saw another article on it. The driver has a dash cam.

There was another one that hit on the Meadowbrook Friday morning just north of the Southern State knocking out the left and middle lane. My commute was fun.....

Commercial truck drivers are supposed to be using GPS devices with customized software that doesn't include the prohibited parkways.

or more likely is from out of state
