My town has 7 bars in two blocks.

LongIslanders are very temperate

However half the bars are nothing more then places to score drugs.

You should look on twitter for LI Party Stories - parents, it will blow
your mind. And if it doesn't, it should.

First off, US drinking culture is nothing compared to Europe. The British Isles in particular, if you've never been there, you have no idea how bad it is. It's far, far worse than here. Get on a double decker bus at midnight on Friday and it's a complete disaster. All these young women who went to work prim and proper in cute little dresses in the morning are now falling over, cursing, etc.

A step down from that but still worse than the US, Scandanavian countries. People get fallen down intoxicated more often.

In comparison to those places, LI drinking culture is tame. NYC drinking culture is incredibly tame compared to London.

We're busy with prescription opioids and meth. Drinking is so 1920's.

Thanks! Now we have another item to add to the list of "this happens only on Long Island...."

Previous entries include: traffic, drugs, materialistic people, loud people, aggressive people, shady contractors, and corrupt politicians!
