I don't know, nor do I know HOW I could know that. I know that the cops should be looking into it and are not. That is all that I know.

Those things should be easy to find out. Where are your neighbors and what are they doing about the situation?

You may want to call Senator John Flanagans office. He is extremely neighborhood involved.

Honestly i had to deal with a similar problem where i lived. I confronted the neighbor and told him what you do is your business & im not here to preach or tell you what to do with your life but with respect to my children & the neighbors children i would appreciate that sort of activity to not be done near my home. He kinda denied it, so i reminded him i wanted to speak to him first before i called freinds or police to settle it. never seen him do it again....so sometimes a peacfull talk will do the trick.....Good Luck!

That scares me. I don't know that I have the cajones to do that.

Most people don't so don't feel bad. What about your neighbors, have you talked to them about the problem?

I'm not saying it's any worse (or better) then other school districts because quite frankly I only know about the one. However between friends with children in both Northport Middle and Northport High as well as friends who teach in the district I've long heard about the issue. Sadly a very good friend of mine nearly lost her son to drug abuse that originated while he was attending the high school. The details he shared about recreational drug use and how wide spread it was chilled me to the bone. My friend (the mother) had warned me that I needed to be extra vigilant as my children advanced through the system. She believed it was the result of the perfect storm effect; children with plenty of disposable cash and loads of unsupervised time mixed with parents either disengaged or working.
One of my teacher friends had said that the district is aggressively addressing the situation but without admitting they have a problem. This program is part of their plan of attack.

I totally agree with NYC2RDU regarding the drug issues here in Northport. I have seen it myself during parties...the abuse of pills and cocaine by children in the HS, as well as the middle school throughout the years. I have several children who have completed this school district and I have watched it go downhill BIG time. In the 70's it had a terrible reputation but had improved. Those days are gone. The drugs are passed through Mexican's and older HS kids for younger ones to sell (for them) in middle school. Yes, drugs are everywhere, however, it is rampant here in town. Never mind the weed, which is in high demand. It's the hard drugs that they also purchase online (I was told by one user) with no problem from ot of state and country. It' up to the parents to control their personal problems and believe me, I know several who are having a difficult time with tough love.

Maybe he's an ebay seller and people are dropping items off
I just dont know how anyone can assume "drug dealer". Why not ask him to buy some? lol....wear a hidden camera and you nailed him. And if he's just an Obama Grassroots supporter handing out canvassing plans to all his meet-up members and not a drug dealer.....well, you can vote for Hillary instead
