I'm looking to find a local hair colorist in the Commack, Kings Park, East Northport or Smithtown area. Right now I have my friend highlighting and touching up my grays every few months but I've decided I want to go one color and lighter than my natural which is dark brown. The highlighting is drying my hair out and I can't stand my brown hair anymore so def want to go a lighter color. My friend who does my coloring doesn't live close to me and it is difficult for me to get to her b/c either she's very busy or I'm busy on the days she's not. So I figure, I will need to get a touch up once per month if I go blonde with my dark roots. So I think finding a good colorist in my local area would be really helpful.
If you have a recommendation, please give me their name, phone number and how long you've been using them and if you don't mind, the cost you pay for a touch up. I would still use my friend for haircuts as she does amazing cuts. If you feel more comfortable sending me a PM, that's fine.
