This may sound like a weird question, but are there any websites that specifically list job openings on Long Island? Whenever I use a job search online, it mostly shows me jobs in NYC, even if I type in an LI zip code. I don't know if it's because there are no job openings outside of NYC or if it's because LI lists jobs elsewhere?
It sucks they never post salary ranges. I've already got convenience, so a lot more money is really the only motivating factor for me to get another job. Do I want to go through rounds of interviews before being told I'd be making a lot less than I expected especially being on LI?

It's very much a tough decision bc u dont want to come off as only in it for the $$ but you also dont want to waste anyone's time. What I can suggest is putting your salary req's on the resume maybe? I do not know if this is frowned upon but that way at least a co will know what you are seeking.

if you know people in the industry/company you are looking at you might have more insight. i think it is always good to meet with people, even if you are not sure about the position. putting salary requirements on your resume is not a good move in my opinion.
