Chicken little thinks you're ridiculous. in 5 or 10 years there will still be people drinking in the bars, the projects will still be there, and the rest of the community will be exactly the same.
Agreed, complete nonsense from SandyJet. Rockville Centre has one housing project and it has been there for decades nothing new. Not to mention as posted above the bar scene has also been there forever. Its still and will continue to be a desirable place to live on LI.
RVC in five or ten years will be a huge slum. You got projects everwhere, drunks in bars, lots of crime and the small population of rich folks property taxes are out of control.
However, I think learning another language is important. I have studied 2 other languages and retain good working knowledge. My kids are young but are learning a second language now too.
English is the only language to be used this board
