With all the things going on I am truly getting sick of living on LI!!!
It could be worse. Not that makes anything better, but in other areas of the country there is no public transportation or trains to your job. When you do not have a car you hope you can walk the three miles each way to the part time job minimum wage job.
It is particularly tough on younger folks trying to establish themselves. Then again it is ALWAYS tough on young people trying to establish themselves.

I am fine thanks! As you can see I posted this thread over a month ago just to make a broad statement. Went back to driving as LI does stink when it comes to public transit. That aside many posters have decided for one reason or another to keep commenting on this thread. Nothing I can do about it unless they decide to close it. Never took public transit on LI except for LIRR to go into city as I have always driven.
