I live in North Queens! It's the best place to live in New York aside from Westchester County and upstate if you like country living. We are a half hour from Manhattan one of the best places in the USA. We have class and are educated and smart! Also it's beautiful here. Trees galore beautiful parks gorgeous homes! Anyone from North Queens?

North Queens or northeastern Queens? I don't consider either as country-like at all, except maybe, The Queens County Farm Museum-sort of. You might want to post in the NYC forum where you may get more answers to your question, is anyone from North Queens, where people may actually live in Queens County. Glad you are enjoying your new home.

I agree as I grew up in Flushing. By north Queens you probably mean Bayside area. That is is best area of North Queens to me. As well as Little Neck. Flushing area has changed dramatically from what I remember it growing up.

Oh Thank God! I didn't think there was anyplace left with these qualities. At least now I know where to move. Hopefully the community is welcoming of Camaro's and mullets and AC/DC.
I mean if they're not they're not American right? Wow sounds like the perfect place for us to move! Thanks for the tip!

I like parts of Queens too. However, I'm not keen on the 4% income tax you have to pay as part of NYC. It kinda ruins the savings I'd make on my Nassau property taxes.
