Does anyone know of any LI developments going on that are huge? I look forward to the future of LI but never really here anything except for Wyandanch but that's no where near where I am. I'm talking mostly southwest Nassau.

They're in the process of building the Glen Cove Ferry Terminal and there's a ton of construction going on the northern end of New Hyde Park Road.
A deal was made to build condos by Gibson Station in Valley Stream at least 9 months ago. So far, nothing has changed and the old stores remain shuttered.
It's been around for a while, but Oceanside Cove in Oceanside may be what you're looking for. Gated townhouse community with 3 pools, tennis courts, multi-use court, clubhouse, free parking, etc.
There's a ton of redevelopment proposed for Long Island. Nassau Coliseum, Hempstead, Glen Cove, Huntington Station, Riverhead, and many others. Mostly building luxury high rise apartments near LIRR stations at premium rental rates. There's an apartment craze going on all over the country, as people can't buy homes as easily as before and because interest rates are so low that financing for these construction projects is very cheap. But real estate is a cyclical business, the developers will overpromise and overbuild, and five years down the road many of these apartment buildings will have vacancy and bankruptcy problems.
You should see all those condo bldgs going up in Mineola... Farmingdale looks like alot of stuff going on too.
