Excellent news - thanks to Kate Murray and the lawsuit they filed.
Now maybe that damn fool county executive will learn his lesson - when the taxpayers say NO WE DON'T WANT TO ATTRACT GAMBLERS TO OUR SUBURBAN COUNTY - he'll understand he can't just sneak crap in anyway.
Not sure how much Kate Murray had to do with the Casino deal falling apart. However, there is one thing Kate Murray deserves tons of credit for: Chasing the Islanders to Brooklyn....
Did Kate say which side she is on earlier? I know Mayor of Westbury and TONH supervisor Judi have been fighting this since day 1. But Kate didnt say anything till the day before they filed lawsuit.
Either way, its nice to have that extra revenue to county if it also bring positive energy to us. Too bad casino doesnt.
