Looking to transfer 16mm films from the 70s into digital format. I know Costco offers the service:

Services & Pricing: Movie Film to DVD

but was curious if there are other services that are local and competitive in price. I don't need them converted to DVD, but would prefer them transferred to an external hard drive. From there, i would do my own editing on the computer and make movies.

Anyone have experience with transferring film to digital?

Thanks in advance...

I did look at Berger Bros website, and they are very costly!
16mm is $60 for first 400 ft of film, then $0.18/ft after....plus additional fees.

Costco is $18 for the first 150 ft, then $0.11/ft after, and that is with all fees (DVD, uploaded online, etc.)

I use iMemories - One place for all your family videos and photos, from any decade.. You send them your film or video and they convert it. You can then access it on line, edit, and either order DVDs or download them.
