Yeah- I'm pretty sure Harborfields taxes are very similar to taxes in other areas of the Town of Huntington. I'd be curious to know what the actual tax rate is...but I don't think it's any higher than other areas.

Suffolk by Nassau border has a lot more of the 55 plus condo communities not chipping in much for school taxes plus it is harder to grieve taxes.

If you go to Nassau most condo and coop complexes are usually mainly folks 55 and over but they are not 55 plus condos that get school tax breaks. Since Coops in Nassau are mainly older folks, single folk and young couples saving up for a home they rarely have much kids anyhow. The small condo complex not far from my house which is 30 units does not send a single kid to school district in the whole complex so why give them the break.

It's official, Elwood will have full day K in the fall pending approval of budget which is almost a certainty since it's within the cap.
