My landscapers are in and out of my yard and next door neighbors and on their way in less than 15 minutes. That includes cut/edge/blow. The guy on the other side of me takes 2 hrs doing it himself. Then he plugs in his electric blower and that whines out front for another 30 minutes sounding like most of the City-Forum Long Island posters.
If only it were 15 minutes. Try 30+ for the ones here (sometimes lasting the majority of conf calls). Multiply it by many houses throughout the week. It takes me an hour every 1.5 weeks, not two hours, and I'm not annoying anyone else nor do I blow crap out on the street or onto anyone else's cars, nor do I whine about having to mow.

Obviously it's EASIER paying people who bring a crew to do your work genius.

Geez......if you didn't whine so much you'd be done in 45 minutes.

Mine's not even self-propelling. Why would I want to quicken my workout?

I also like how you don't deny their machines are loud and obnoxious. I can hear one right now that must be at least 6 houses down. They're not going anywhere, but at least now everyone knows what people think of you/them.

I know I'm bad with time. It's probably more like 10 minutes since our property is only 90'x160'

One fine gentleman whacks, while one cuts and another follows behind to blows off walks.

You could always move to an area with tiny properties where no one needs to use landscapers. Or to the country where things just grow wild. I've lived on long island and always appreciated everyone taking care of their property to keep the neighborhood looking nice. I've also lived in the Bronx on a 40x80 lot where most people cement over their tiny squares of grass.

First world problems for sure.......

I don't use a landscaper, but I do have my own Honda lawn mower and Stihl leaf blower.

So what?

In general, landscapers are in and out. When I do my lawn, I'll make sure to not start before 9:30AM at the earliest. If you have a problem with the landscapers, talk to them. Make sure to talk to the boss/supervisor. If you feel they aren't cooperative, simply tell them:
A. You'll complain to your town
B. You'll make sure everyone in town knows they're bad

Problem solved.

Do landscapers realize how annoying people are?
