Hello Long Islanders. I was wondering if Nassau county provides any kind of assistance for removing an old, 1925 oil furnace that is constructed with asbestos? Just bought an old house with a two faucet sink and a clawfoot tub that I desperately want to get rid off to upgrade. Also, can someone tell me how to get the orange recycle containers that I can put bottles and stuff in on recycling day?
So far as I know the asbestos remove falls all on your shoulders and should be done through a firm that handles that sort of thing. Check with what ever town you are in to get the bucket.
Put the clawfoot tub and sink on Freecycle. Someone will snatch it up.
That clawfoot tub will bring you lots of interested takers.
